LGPro’s 2025 Annual Conference – FutureFit – is the next evolution in the sector’s premier gathering of professionals, bringing together more opportunities to learn and network across all levels, roles, and departments over two days.
Day 1
Opening and closing with important keynotes, choose your own path in dedicated content streams taking on leadership, integrated planning, customer experience, early career development and workforce.
Kim Seeling Smith leads the day with a future-focused keynote address exploring the intersection of local government services, AI and community expectations.
Leadership is tailored to senior leaders with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and transformation.
Integrated Planning takes those themes of innovation and transformation and dives into the detail of innovative service business models and lessons learnt from pivotal reforms, geared at planners, service designers, and teams across the consultation and research spaces.
Customer Experience is for the CX gurus, customer service teams, business transformation specialists, taking on that innovation focus and applying it to collaboration, governance, data, the latest tools, and learnings from outside the sector.
Young Professionals Career Development is for ambitious upskillers right across the sector, from early career professionals and young professionals, with an emphasis on personal transformation.
Workforce is tailored to senior leaders and managers looking after their councils workforce. Day 1 focuses on attraction and retention, working through constant change in high performing organisations.
Day 2
Financial Sustainability an ever-present insecurity for the sector, we discuss the challenges to getting there, how they can be overcome, and how we better communicate the value of what we do.
Crisis Management dives into the detail of when councils are thrown into the media spotlight through either natural disaster, cyber attacks or contentious issues and whether AI can help or hinder the crisis management.
Workforce on Day 2 continues to dives into the workforce generational expectations, where is the balance, unpacking what the future work of local government looks like and further imbedding diversity and inclusion in our workspaces.
Community Connections dives into how can we address misinformation and disinformation as well as communicating that council is the communities friendly and trusted source of information.
